About Codemonk

Codemonk is a Product Engineering and AI-focused technology company helping startups and enterprises build scalable digital products. Our expertise spans Product Engineering, Cloud, AI, GenAI, Computer Vision, and modern digital platforms.

We work closely with clients to solve complex business challenges by combining deep technical expertise with strong product thinking.

Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst Associate with 1–2 years of experience, ideally from an IT services or product engineering background, to work closely with Business Analysts, Project Managers, Developers, and client stakeholders to gather, structure, and drive requirements through the solution lifecycle.

As a Business Analyst Associate, you will independently handle requirement documentation for assigned modules/projects, work directly with client and internal stakeholders, and contribute to solution discussions from early scoping through delivery support.

This role is ideal for someone who has already worked on live client projects, is comfortable owning documentation end-to-end, and wants to grow into a senior BA or Product Analyst role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Requirement Analysis & Documentation

  • Independently gather, analyse, and document business and functional requirements for assigned modules/projects.
  • Prepare and maintain:
    • Business Requirement Documents (BRDs)
    • Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs)
    • User Stories & Acceptance Criteria
    • Use Cases
    • Process Flows
  • Own documentation quality and keep it current as requirements evolve across sprints/releases.

2. Stakeholder & Team Collaboration

  • Lead and participate in client and internal requirement discussions, translating conversations into structured requirements.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and senior BAs to align on project objectives, scope, and priorities.
  • Coordinate directly with development and QA teams to clarify functional requirements and resolve ambiguity.
  • Document and circulate meeting discussions, action items, decisions, and follow-ups.

3. Research & Solution Support

  • Research technologies, competitors, and industry trends to inform solution discussions.
  • Analyse business problems and propose potential solution approaches, applying a design-thinking lens.
  • Prepare presentations, solution documents, and project materials for internal and client review.
  • Support translation of business requirements into technology solutions in partnership with tech leads.

4. AI & Emerging Technologies

  • Contribute to projects involving Generative AI, AI/ML, Computer Vision, and other emerging technologies.
  • Understand and apply basic concepts of emerging technologies to real business use cases.

5. Process & Quality Ownership

  • Maintain consistency and quality across BA documentation and templates.
  • Track requirements end-to-end and proactively flag gaps, dependencies, and open questions.
  • Support process improvements to BA documentation standards across projects.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in an IT services or product engineering environment.
  • Hands-on experience writing BRDs, FRDs, user stories, acceptance criteria, and use cases — not just theoretical knowledge.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to structure ambiguous requirements clearly.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable leading requirement discussions with clients.
  • Working knowledge of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Good attention to detail and ownership mindset.

Nice to Have

  • Familiarity with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Miro, Figma, or similar tools.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, databases, or web/mobile application concepts.
  • Exposure to Generative AI, LLMs, AI/ML, or Computer Vision projects.
  • Experience working directly with client stakeholders in a services environment.

Why Join Codemonk?

  • Own requirements end-to-end for real client projects from day one.
  • Work alongside experienced Business Analysts, Project Managers, and engineering teams.
  • Get direct exposure to emerging technologies including GenAI and Computer Vision.
  • Clear growth path toward Senior BA, Product Analyst, or Solution Consulting roles.

Compensation & benefits

Benefits that come with the role.

Compensation is discussed and finalised directly with you at the offer stage, based on experience and scope.

Learning & development

An annual budget for courses, conferences, or certifications — used at your discretion, not pre-approved case by case.

Flexible working hours

Core collaboration hours with the client's team; the rest of your day is yours to structure.

Health coverage

Comprehensive medical insurance for you and your dependents from day one.

Ownership from day one

You're on the pod that ships the system — not a bench waiting for staffing.

Hiring process

Four steps, no surprises.

01

Telephonic Screening

A 20–30 minute call with our talent team about your background and the role — not a script, a conversation.

02

Assignment

A scoped take-home, typically 3–4 hours, built around a real class of problem we work on — designed to see how you think, not to extract free work.

03

Technical Rounds

Two rounds with engineers you'd actually work with — one on system design, one on your assignment and past work.

04

Cultural Round

A conversation with leadership about how you work and what you're looking for next.

Most candidates hear back within 2 weeks of their final interview.
