Role Overview

As a Business Development Associate at Codemonk Handpicked, you will drive business growth by identifying new client opportunities, building strong relationships, and generating demand for our Contract Staffing and C2H services. Your focus will be primarily on domestic (India) accounts - prospecting startups and enterprises building out their engineering teams. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys consultative selling, outbound prospecting, and working in the fast-paced IT staffing industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and research prospective clients and new business opportunities within the Indian market.

• Generate qualified leads through cold calling, emails, LinkedIn outreach, networking, and other prospecting activities.

• Schedule client meetings and understand hiring requirements related to Contract Staffing and C2H engagements.

• Build and nurture long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients.

• Present Codemonk Handpicked's staffing solutions and articulate our value proposition effectively.

• Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and client interactions in the CRM.

• Collaborate with the recruitment team to understand client requirements and ensure smooth handover of hiring mandates.

• Achieve monthly business development and revenue targets (see "What Success Looks Like" below).

• Stay updated on industry trends, hiring patterns, and competitor activity.

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)

• 8–12 qualified client meetings booked per month

• 2–4 unique contract staffing positions brought in per month, sourced from these meetings

Requirements

Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 1–2 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Client Acquisition, preferably in the IT Staffing, Contract Staffing, or Recruitment Services industry.

• Experience in outbound prospecting, lead generation, and client relationship management.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.

• Strong negotiation and consultative selling skills. • Self-driven, target-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to Have

• Understanding of the technology hiring ecosystem and staffing services.

• Prior experience prospecting into startup or tech-enterprise accounts. Tools You'll Use CRM (HubSpot), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, email outreach (Apollo or equivalent).
