About Role

About the Role 
We are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Finance Associate to support day-to-day finance 
operations. The role focuses on bookkeeping in Zoho Books while assisting with statutory 
compliance, reconciliations, vendor payments, and finance operations in a fast-paced 
startup environment. 

Key Responsibilities

Bookkeeping (Primary Focus)

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions in Zoho Books (sales, purchases, expenses, and 
    payments).
  • Maintain ledgers, vendor bills, and customer invoices.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations and match payments and receipts. 
  • Monitor accounts payable and receivable and highlight overdue items. 
  • Prepare vendor payments for review and maintain expense and reimbursement 
    records. 
  • Maintain supporting documents (invoices, receipts, agreements) for audit readiness.

Compliance Support

  • Assist with tracking statutory compliances (GST, TDS, PF/ESI, as applicable). 
  • Prepare data and documents required for statutory filings and audits. 
  • Maintain compliance calendars and checklists.

Day-to-Day Finance Operations

  • Support vendor onboarding and payment processing. 
  • Track outstanding receivables and payables. 
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and data for the finance team. 
  • Maintain finance records and documentation. 

What We're Looking For

  • Pursuing or recently completed B.Com, M.Com, or a degree in Commerce, Accounting, or 
    Finance.
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping concepts (debits, credits, ledgers, and 
    reconciliations). 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel or Google Sheets. 
  • Familiarity with Zoho Books is a plus; willingness to learn is essential. 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy. 
  • Good organizational, verbal, and written communication skills. 
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and managing multiple 
    priorities. 
  • Trustworthy and able to handle confidential financial information. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Exposure to accounting software such as Zoho Books, Tally, or QuickBooks. 
  • Basic knowledge of GST and TDS. 
  • Comfortable using Excel functions such as XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables. 
  • Prior internship experience in Finance or Accounting (preferred but not mandatory).
